I am so excited that you are interested in choosing me to document your wedding. I'm committed to creating a genuine experience that cultivates meaningful, beautiful and lasting images! While I am a big fan of displaying your images digitally, I ultimately believe those moments are most valuable when printed in a handcrafted wedding album or hung on the wall for years to come!
I began photographing weddings after my own wedding 15 years ago. Having a photojournalism degree with a focus on fine art photography definitely made the transition from photojournalistic photographer at the Miami Herald to entrepreneurial wedding photographer a breeze!
Telling a story with my camera comes naturally to me, and something I perfected through my training. Whenever I pick up my camera, I strive to find beauty and emotion through storytelling in every situation I come across.

Living in Florida with my loves - my son and daughter, my incredibly supportive husband and our goofy and loveable Golden Retriever - is an absolute dream that I thought might never happen.
It is true, I am a Florida native, having grown up in Southwest FL and gone to UF, where I met and fell in love with my husband. After college, his job took us to Alabama, South Carolina and Oklahoma. The plan was always to return to Florida, but 12 years went by and that dream seemed to fade. And then one day we decided it was time to return home!
Now, when I'm am not exploring our woodsy neighborhood trails or piled on the couch watching American Idol with my tribe, I can be found sipping a Starbucks iced tea at my desk editing away on a romantic engagement session or photographing a gorgeous wedding.

Some of my favorite outdoor activities are cruising doors off in our '92 Jeep Wrangler, going to the beach and hiking in NC.
I see these birds constantly roaming our neighborhood. They remind me so much of us, as they choose a partner for life and co parent their young.
I love the entire experience - the rides, the specialty snacks and the gift shops. I especially love the joy it brings to my kids.
I almost went to FSU after interning with my mother in law, who is a well known Interior Designer in Clearwater.

After meeting and photographing hundreds of couples over the years, I've found that I won't always be a perfect fit for everyone. That's why I think the process should begin with a conversation. I want to hear

Even if you're working with a wedding planner or you're planning a simple wedding, there are likely still a lot of moving pieces left leading up to your big day. I've been in the wedding industry for over 15 years and I'm happy to share everything I've learned along the way!
Wedding Advice
I'm a big fan of engagement sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give you the opportunity to showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you.
Engagement sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following the proposal to a month before the wedding. I've found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. I normally plan sessions based on a particular vibe or season a couple has in mind, for example, cozy sweaters and blankets in a field for fall or a flowy dress and windswept hair on a summer day at the beach.
Engagement Session
I check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day.
While I normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions during the planning process!
Wedding Day Prep
It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and celebrate with your family and friends.
Just know I'm here for you and excited to capture your wedding day. It's going to be amazing!
The Big Day
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about four weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about your adventures of married life. And if you decide to have kids, I'd love to document your growing family!

THE COLLECTIONS
MORE DETAILS
One of the best ways to make your wedding memories last is by ordering
an album. These high quality professionally designed albums come in a
variety of linen & leather colors.
These aren’t the same albums your parents wedding photos came in.
They’re modern, lay perfectly flat and look incredible on coffee tables.
All albums must be prepaid before design begins. Albums typically take
between 4 to 6 weeks to complete and include three rounds of revision. Albums may be ordered anytime before or after the wedding day.
ALBUMS
Most of the wedding collections do include an engagement session. For most couples, it takes time to warm up to being
photographed and understand how to pose. Timelines can be
pretty tight on wedding days and 30 minutes may be all we
have for portraits - which is why I've found that wedding day
portraits turn out so much better when couples do an engagement
session ahead of time!
Sessions also allow you to showcase your personalities in a more casual
setting that is significant to the two of you (and even can include
pets!) While they’re great to do well in advance for save-the-dates, I’ve taken
engagement photos anywhere from 18 months to a couple weeks before the wedding.
Engagement Sessions
Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I’ll need a completed contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I'll send one over! The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before the wedding.
We love your work and we’re ready to book! What’s the next step?
Galleries typically include anywhere between 400 and 800 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share all your photos on socials and I would be so appreciative if you tagged me, @amandazabphoto!
How many photos are typically included and can we print the photos ourselves?
I typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 60 mile radius from the North Tampa area. Fees vary depending on location so ask me for more details.
